Mangia! It's the annual Hampton's RESTAURANT WEEK!

So much for that spring diet, starting this Sunday and running til the following some of the best restaurants in the Hamptons are offering 3 course meals for only $21.95! OK, they are cutting it short on Saturday of next week but if you get in before 7pm... it's part of the prix fixe! There will also be discounts on wines at some restaurants and lodging too!

Some of the restaurants I know that are participating are Nick and Toni's, Della Famina, Almond, Almoncello, Pierre's and Bamboo.

If you want to venture to the North Fork, I suggest going to the Jedidiah Hawkin's Inn. It's cozy decor, amazing service and great food make it virtually impossible to get into during the summer. Located on South Jamesport Avenue in Jamesport, it's about 40 minutes away from East Hampton but chef Thomas G. Schaudel makes it oohhhh sooo worth the trip. The inn is an 1860's Victorian Mansion that was saved from a wrecking ball in 2004 and restored to something truly remarkable.

What would you do with an extra $175 Grand?? Buy a new car? How about a new piece of jewelry? How about an I PHONE? Yep, for a mere $176,400, you can get a white gold and diamond studded I Phone! It was designed by an Austrian designer and is called the "Princess Plus," because of the princess cut stones of the phone. Personally, I think it's an interesting idea but the name has got to go. "PRINCESS PLUS" It sounds like the name for the juniors department at Dress Barn.

Speaking of I Phones, while I don't have one YET! I'm addicted and I mean addicted to the new I Touch phone. In case you don't know what it that is... it's looks the same as the I phone... yes it looks like the photo above sans the diamonds... and does everything the I Phone does but NO PHONE. Big deal!? How cool is it to download directly from I Tunes to the device.. watch You Tube video's.... get stock updates... and weather updates!!! VERY COOL. I personally have been watching old History Channel videos non-stop on this at bed time. While it's not as cheap as the other Pods.. at $299 it's still cheaper than my first portable CD player!

IF IT WERE THE MIDDLE OF JULY AND THE VILLAGE IS HOPPING WITH TOURISTS AND SHOPPERS, I WOULD BE OK WITH IT BUT NOW!!!???? PLEASE CUT US A BREAK. Enough of me venting.... I'm actually thinking about my next blog now that I've cleared my anger!
