So... if Outback Steak House doesn't exactly excite your palette there is good news for those of you who can't seem to get past the maitre d' at The Palm. Ed "Jean Luc" Kleefeld is turning his former JL EAST into a sushi-steak-Lounge. He's recruited the former chef of James on Main Brian Ewing to fire up the grill. Outdoor Jazz... cabanas... and a hopefully hip crowd will be there on beginning next week.

Also on the plate... the long awaited "Smoke House"(from the same folks at Nick and Toni's & Rowdy Hall) restaurant on the site of the former Alison by The Beach in Sagaponack should be open in time for Memorial Day. (http://beach.curbed.com/)
